The Stage

The Stage
By Mark Tarver
The lights close in, I’m shaking a lot
But I can’t stop the thought
If I mess up, I can’t go back
But if I do go back, I’ll be done, that’s a fact!
So, I took a step, going on the stage
I realized, why be afraid?
I watched the crowd all waiting
I let my light glow, and didn’t let it continue fading

I decided not to be afraid
Today was going to be my day!
So I stepped into the light
And to my surprise, my talents were a delight!

    1. It actually is when you get out there lol But it is pretty scary anticipating/waiting for it

    2. It freaks me out just hearing the option to. I'm seriously worried going on stage in front of a large crowd could break my sanity

  2. Wow this is really good, honestly stages are terrifying. Most of my recitals sell out and there's usually over 600 people at each, I get butterflies of course, but it's honestly not that bad when you get out there, it becomes more fun and you usually recognize faces and become less or more nervous. Either way, it's worth it lol
