Today (Poem by Olivia)

Today is a bellow of wind, Tomorrow a forecasted gust of clouds, Yesterday merely a quiet whisper. The passing of time, so strange indeed, How life can flow and flow yet stop so suddenly, Not enough time, there is more that we need, Yet there is an overflow of hours, gushing in to remind us so hurriedly. What a mystery the passing of time can be, With there being no real start or ending of this unsolved inquiry, How the minutes keep ticking with no finish to be foreseen, And consumes our beings with insurmountable amounts of worry. However, it is always important to regain our awareness, That the only time truly in this world is that of the present, And though it may be difficult to remember in periods of unfairness, Relishing in this world’s peace and tranquility brings a joy so whole and pleasant. Time may be an eternal portal of wonder, With no true answer to how it is unlocked, Though we can always attempt for harmony to be our discovery, In a world full of pressure from the tickin...

Hug

Crawling on the ground Where I don’t make a sound I have no emotions left to bleed Because the pain has made me numb I’ve cried so much, I’ve felt some dumb Now it’s happiness that I long to feed Nobody gets it I don’t want to throw a fit I don’t mean to bug I just really need a hug

Love (By Olivia)

An embrace as warm and tight as the sun, A melody that chimes as gracefully as the stars, The careful touch of the twilight-filled dawn, Holding the universe in its gently loving palm. The warmth of a fireplace in the harsh winter cold, As the scent fills the room with a familiar sense of home, The undying flames flourish as the passion unfolds, Overflowing with delight as it emits a wonderful tone. The soft melody of a bluebird's first song, Calmly yet surely trilling across the wind, The soothing noise of beauty carries me where I belong, As I gaze upon the natural world with a quiet moonlit grin. And all the glories and wonders in life, From the towering castles to the undisturbed trees, Joining with the ripples of the ongoing seas.. That is what I call love.

Voices in my Head

Good for nothing Never something These are the voices in my head Zero value No one loves you These are the voices I hear in bed You have no chance Just drop your fighting stance These are the voices convincing me to quit Piece of trash Everything you do is rash These are the voices that deal hard hits Every time I fall You rush over, energy and all Just to pick me up again Every time I stumble You make a sweet mumble Giving me power to once again defend The voices go over to you Trying to do the same thing, too I know for me you would never yield So I do the same thing and kick up my shield Charge at them head on Making them less strong They lose their power, falter away Do not worry, I’m here to stay

Raven - A Poem by Mark Borne

Author's Note:  Honestly, I think this is one of my best poems ever. See if you guys can figure this one out: it's got a lot of trick words/phrases! Fly, fly, my little Raven, Reach, reach for the sky. See the world from the air, My little Raven, and show it to me. It's a big world, little Raven, But I promise I'll find always find you. Fly, fly, my little Raven, Reach, reach for the stars. Let their beauty surround you, My little Raven, and tell it to me. The sky has no limit, little Raven, And I promise you'll be free. Fly, fly, my little Raven, Come back, come back to me. Be watching over my shoulder, My little Raven, and please guide me. The world is cruel, little Raven, Yet I'll always protect you. Fly, fly, my clever Raven, It's time, it's time for us to part. Find the next little Raven, My clever Raven, and help them grow. I can no longer be here, clever Raven, But you know where to find me.

Hot Dogs (A Poem by Mark Borne)

We're like hot dogs, Delicious food topped With all sorts of dreams. Then, slowly, Time eats Us away, and the pain Grows until we are gone. So why even bother? Because a life lived For nothing is a life Wasted, when we could Have made a difference. Author's Note : This poem will be available on the Nexus of Writers on the 21st, however this blog gets it a day early!

How to Ace Any Test

How to Ace Any Test Even if you hate 'em! Step 1: Study! Study all! Study EVERYTHING! The color of the sky, why breaking your arm is painful, how to make a blog boring like me - you know, the usual! Step 2: Prepare Eat lots for energy, but not too much if you're nervous. This will help balance your body out for whatever it is! Step 3: Study Buddies! Study with a friend, but one you know won't distract you. Or else...FAAAAAIL! Step 4: Keep Calm Keep calm or you'll be too nervous and that'll mess up your body which in turn messes up your mind in turn your thinking in turn your answers in turn your score. Yep. It can get that bad. Warning! This is just a quick guide, so this is not a full process. If any study styles result in pain, pogo stick power, and/or issues with your brain, it is not the PoetOfSteel's fault and may result in you being entitled to significant cash compensation. A World Without Humans

A World Without Humans By Mark Tarver Peace Countless majestic animals, running free in the wild Their spirits lifted by the removal of harm Maneuvering with elegance and natural beauty And nothing to get in their way Humans Oh the humans Tearing up the terrain with giant yellow monsters The emissions of adulteration filling up the air Tearing up tress out of their rightful home Adding unneeded factories for our benefits And adding defilement to the world If only thus would not harm thou Stop this madness Stop it before it’s too late

Famous

Famous! By Mark Tarver The lights! The camera! AHH, the scene! Someone wants an auto graph But too many flashes of it all And I can’t see the car So I quickly escape the ball I love the fans, really, I do But they seem like too much Too many of them here Can do damage as such Scream fans leaves ringing in the ears So much yelling people hard, generating tears I can’t focus, so many record deals Too much film rights; low lives using me as fame appeal I want to be known, but not this much Take a famous poet or something as such All this stuff, too much to my eye I never wanted to be a Jacksepticeye I must stop this, but a tiny girl wants to see me She wants an autograph and does a squeal I guess this isn’t so bad for this in my hands So I sign the picture, and leave a bright smile for the fans To submit your own work: https://forms.gle/8CpQEB2x4RQu7b717

What Life Is Like

What Life Is Like By Mark Tarver Life is like a game With levels and stages But through the game Is so many phases Life is like a fire Only more is added to the flame But not for long will it burn For it will die out when tamed Life is like a book So many pages But a story ends eventually And so its ink fades Life is like a flower Blooming so, so tall But soon will droop And petals will start to fall Life starts out little But soon grows up If not careful, it’ll disappear Like a Dad drinking coffee from a cup Life can tire And it can painfully bash A little fire Could cloud you sight with ash Life is a chain Of overlapping people It could be like a movie, with pain Or a good one followed by a secret Life is a pencil It becomes sharp Then becomes dull And shortens to a stop Life is you Life is me Join too And you can truly see!
