The Pumpkin (Halloween Poem)

I walk down the street at night

To go trick or treat

Some costumes not as good

But others pretty neat

I take the candy and I go

Every single time

But one house makes me stop

As I see a dangling vine

Spiders lay on the lawn

And torches delight

With cobwebs so realistic

It gave me such a fright

Spooky scary skeletons

Won't scare me one bit

Because the scariest thing to jump at me

Was the pumpkin!
